HyNetics ™ Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of TurnKey Modular Systems Inc. and provides single-use process systems world-wide.

HyNetics ™ Corporation is the pioneer in large-scale single-use process systems.

The patented HyNetics™ Single Use Mixing system is offered in eight sizes from 30 to 10,000 liters nominal mixing capacity.  All of the process contact surfaces are disposable.  The unique vertical mixing action utilizes a slotted disc with flaps to push fluid down to the bottom of the holding vessel and up the sides in a one way flow.  The dynamics are superior to conventional mixing.  Media and buffer hydration times are greatly reduced when compared to a conventional impeller.  The vertical mixing action excels at maintaining particle suspension. The mixing action is variable speed to minimize shear.

Features: 

  • Modular process units with short lead-time and rapid on-site installation.
  • On board Integrity Testing of the disposable prior to use with automated vent control to eliminate bag overpressure
  • Closed process during operation.
  • Batch sizes range from 33% to 100% of holding tank volume; however, the unit can maintain mixing down to a near-empty condition.
  • CIP, SIP, and cross-contamination are eliminated, decreasing turnaround time, increasing production, and reducing labor, cleaning, validation costs and wastewater.
  • Two product versions:
      • Our STANDARD system can be configured with vessel jacketing for temperature maintenance; weigh cells, inflation and vent control system, and various control options. 
      • Our CORE system provides the essentials; the mixing bag holding vessel, mixer drive and mixer speed control.  The mixing action vessel geometry and mixing bag are the same as the standard product.

HyNetics ™ Corporation Scope of services includes the Design, Manufacture, and Factory Testing of your Single Use Mixing System.  Our technical staff can also provide Site Installation, Validation Support, and Preventive Maintenance Parts and Service.

Each system includes:

  • One hexagonal holding vessel including a temperature sensor to indicate the temperature of the formulation bag contents and a sight window through the door to view the contents of the mix bag.
  • The vessel includes one (1) mixer drive with a variable speed motor.  The drive is constructed of anodized aluminum with a stainless steel cover.  The access cover to the drive is interlocked to stop the drive when the cover is removed.
  • An automatic Air-inflate and purge system to inflate each vessel liner for proper positioning, integrity test prior to use, and maintain pressure during operation. 
  • A vent control system to protect the formulation bag from over pressure, and maintain nominal pressure in the formulation bag.
  • Control panel with:
    • Relay Logic Control of the mixer drive (start-stop and variable speed) with speed indication.
    • Temperature indication and Pressure Indication of the formulation bag.
    • Speed Indication of the Agitator
    • Running lights, alarm lights, and horn.
  • Frame to integrate the components into a stand alone module with casters for portability. 
  • The holding tank and skid frame are constructed of 304 SS with a matte glass-bead finish.
  • Casters to provide portability of the unit.  Included in 100 and 250 liter units only.

Options include:

  • Jacket, The vessel incorporates a jacket for temperature maintenance.  The jacket includes a thermal relief device and end connections for owner supplied utilities.
  • Weigh System, Mettler Toledo Weigh cells are added to the vessel legs and indicate the weight of the formulation bag.  The control and indication module is located on the main Control Panel. 
  • One (1) Peristaltic pump, MasterFlex with a dedicated control station to start/stop and vary speed of the pump.
  • Data Logger a six point indictor and data logger with Ethernet capability to transfer operating data electronically.
  • PLC, Allen Bradley

Provided by others

  • Offloading, storage, installation and rigging.
  • Utility piping and electrical connections to tie-in points on the system.
  • Utilities to the vessel jacket.
  • WFI or DI water drops tempered below 50°C.
  • Facility/building work including epoxy, grouting, painting, floor finishing, etc.

Technical Clarification

  • Vendor-supplied certificates of conformance are supplied for calibration of instruments.
  • The document turnover package includes: vendor-supplied manuals, maintenance procedures and service instructions for components and capital equipment.
  • The electrical classification is general and wash down (NEMA 4X or IP-65) and complies with NEC 508A.
  • HyNetics products are built to meet NEC, UL, BPE and ASME requirements.
